Dr John Gallagher teaches history at the University of Leeds and broadcasts on BBC radio as a New Generation Thinker. In lieu of one of the Institute’s regular seminar events, Hiram Morgan conducted an in-depth interview with John about his new book – Learning Languages in Early Modern England (Oxford University Press, 2019). It proved a wide-ranging and fascinating discussion.
